Another approach to Roy Khan

On the first Kamelot album he appears (that will be "Siege Perilous"), his voice sounds quite desperate and weak mainly because of the album's production. Despite that, this album is the most epic one to date, featuring haunting melodies.
Later on, Roy settled in the band and started playing an active role in the composing procedure. So, "The Fourth Legacy", the successor of "Siege Perilous", is a result of team work (mainly work of Thomas Youngblood with Roy), featuring very qualitative and heavy production (by Miro & Paeth). I believe this album is their best so far.
Roy played an even more important role in the band ever since and this had (and still has) a huge impact on how Kamelot became highly appreciated and loved by their fans base who started incressing rapidly.
As far as his personality is concerned, after reading some of his interviews, I came to the conclusion that he likes to be alone in his homeland (Norway), enjoying the creative process, reading, working out and hanging out with friends. He got a bit tired of touring mostly because of the tough conditions on the road.
Even if he could have a different lifestyle since he makes a living out of music, he tries to stay down to earth.
